The Greenland Sports Confederation (GIF) offers a Basic Coaching Course that provides the essential knowledge and skills needed to become a competent and engaged coach within your sports club.
The course is designed for both new and experienced coaches who wish to strengthen their professional and personal competencies in the coaching role.
The programme is divided into two modules, allowing participants to choose the level that best matches their experience:
This foundation course is an intensive programme that equips board members of sports federations with the competencies needed to carry out their responsibilities professionally and effectively.
The course focuses on ensuring that boards operate strategically, manage finances responsibly, and clearly understand their roles and responsibilities.
Through presentations, case studies, and practical exercises, participants gain tools and knowledge that can be applied directly within their own federation.
Courses and webinars are offered continuously throughout the year.
The Active Workplaces course is a practical training programme designed to inspire leaders and employees to introduce healthy and active initiatives in the workplace.
The goal is to strengthen wellbeing, community, and health within companies and organizations across Greenland.
Participants are trained to become Aalasa Ambassadors, enabling them to act as drivers of new initiatives and help create lasting positive change in their workplace.
The programme combines presentations, discussions, and practical exercises. Participants actively work with concrete ideas and gain inspiration from real-life examples and best practices that can be implemented directly in their own organizations.
Upon completion of the course, participants will have practical tools, knowledge, and inspiration to work strategically with health and physical activity in their workplace, benefiting both employees and the organization as a whole.
