Taekwon-do

The Korean martial art of Taekwon-Do has brought Greenland many international medals over the years.

The Greenland Taekwon-Do Federation (GTF) was founded in 1979, when the founder of Taekwon-Do, General Choi Hong Hi of Korea, visited Greenland.

The federation is a member of the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) and participates in World Championships and European Championships for juniors, seniors, and veterans.

Greenland National Championships are held for children, youth, seniors, and veterans.

The federation has a total of 390 active members and 11 affiliated sports clubs located throughout Greenland.
